Dr. Honghui Deng is so honored that he was invited to be a a Fellow of The Innovation Creativity and Capital Institute (IC2) starting from Feb. 2012. Dr. Deng is also a Visiting Professor of Guanghua School of Management, Peking University each summer from year 2005 to present, he is also working as joint-professor in several other universities in China.
In year 1997, Dr. deng was a Visiting Professor in Marketing Department, Red McCombs School of Business of the University of Texas at Austin. In year 2009, He became a Tenured Professor in Lee Business School of the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. Mean while, He is the Independent Board Member for Startegy in 500.com Ltd., and he is also working as consultant for several US companies such as Rapp Collins Inc. of Omnicom Group, Texas Tech. Incubator, Timberline.com and Asian Commerce Association in Texas, USA. In addition, Dr. Deng is the Co-Founder & CEO of HHD Consulting Services LLC.
Dr. Deng received his Ph. D from the Red McCombs School of Business of the University of Texas at Austin. He was so honored to be the last Ph. D student supervised by one of the worldwide greatest researcher, Dr. William Cooper. Dr. Cooper is the worldwide top scientist in Economics, Finance, Accounting as well as one of the founder of the Operations Research/Management, he built up both the Business School and Public Affair School of Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Cooper also received 8 honored Ph.D and MBA degrees from top universities such as Harvard University.
Under Dr. Cooper's guidance, Dr. Honghui Deng's research is diversity in theory, methodology, and applications of Economics, Finance/Risk Management, Operations Research/Management and Management Information Systems. He is a pioneer in the field of real-time operations control and recovery, generalized and expanded the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA).
Dr. Deng has published many articles on professional journals, two books, and many conference proceedings, such as Decision Science, Journal of Risk Management and Insurance, Socio-Economic Planning Sciences and European Journal of Operational Research. He is still working as reviewer for those journals. He worked as the Session Chair of The Institute of Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) and he also has been invited as Speaker for many conferences, universities and industries.
Dr. Deng is also the organizing committee member for Workshop of E-Commerce Business (WEB), China Summer Workshop on Information Management(CSWIM), Annual Conference of the Academy of Innovation and Entrepreneurship(AIE).
